Vacation in Maine

Weekend in Ogunquit

May 19-22, 2016

I drove by Ogunquit before I moved to Vermont few years ago and just fell in love with that place. The energy you feel while walking along the Marginal Way is indescribable. That is one place one have to visit in their life-time. I stayed at Blue Shutters Inn, in the heart of  Ogunquit and few steps from Marginal Way. It’s a nice little B&B at a fair rate considering the location and amenities. I got a studio, and even brought my cat with me (you need to call in advance to arrange a pet friendly room). I stayed for 4 days – Thu – Sun. On my second day I went on a 1 1/2 hour cruise to see the Nubble Lighthouse (I love lighthouses!). It’s a relaxing ride and you learn a lot about the region and lobster. Although you don’t need to go on a cruise to see the lighthouse, you can drive there and park really close to it.  Food: I can still smell the lobster and the delicious sea food you will find in any of the many great restaurants they have around. The ones I tried: Oarweed at Perkins Cove, nice family atmosphere, great service and the food was so yummy! I had Haddock stuffed with lobster, baked/stuffed potato, steamed veggies. Jackie’s Too is another good one, also at Perkins Cove. I had mussels (the garlic sauce was so good), lobster & shrimp and blueberry beer :). Lobster roll from the Fox Lobster House was also good.  Have you noticed I had lobster enough for 6 months at least (ha). Finally and unfortunately, my last morning in paradise having breakfast at Amore. Once again I was blessed with great weather and had the chance to take beautiful pictures of the sunrise from the Marginal Way.  Enjoy it and start planing your trip to Ogunquit!

Stowe and Mount Mansfield VT Fall 2013

Stowe and Mount Mansfield VT

This is my first FALL season in Vermont – my favorite season of the year on the perfect place! This weekend we drove around Stowe, and then drove up to Mount Mansfield. On our way to Stowe we stopped at Cold Hollow Cider Mill for an apple cider (drink & donut). No better way to start the day, right?  We stopped in Stowe town, and hangout there, enjoying some live music, and than headed to Mount Mansfield.

Busy day up there, with hikers from all over the country, and even a wedding going on!  It was simple & beautiful.  Bride & groom rode their bikes down the mountain after the ceremony 🙂 Stowe and Mount Mansfield VT

Today we went apple-picking at the Boyer’s orchard! Life can’t get much fresher than that! Some pie-making during the week, for sure!

One more perfect weekend in Vermont!  Stowe and Mount Mansfield VT

Vacation in Cape Cod

Vacation in Cape Cod

Vacation in Cape Cod Last week we headed to Cape Cod for our annual family vacation. We will never have enough time in that place, unless we move there!  This year the weather was not perfect, but what a little rain can do? I get inspired anyway 🙂
